IKEA offers free repair kits for 2 models of children's beds due to potential injury hazard

SINGAPORE - Furniture store IKEA has issued a warning for two models of its junior beds after receiving reports that they may pose potential hazards.

The Swedish company received seven reports for their Junior bed models KRITTER and SNIGLAR of breakage concerning the metal rod connecting guardrail to the bed frame.

The broken rod could expose sharp metal edges, presenting a laceration hazard.

A statement issued by IKEA on Thursday confirmed that there have been no injuries reported so far.

Customers are advised to check the date stamp attached to the headboard or underside of the bed for the affected bed models.

Dates ranging from 1114 to 1322 for the KRITTER and 1114 to 1318 for the SNIGLAR models are said to be affected.

Customers with the affected models can obtain a free repair kit by visiting the customer service department at any IKEA outlet or contact their customer service at 6786 6868.
