Injured navy serviceman was an inspiration: Ng Eng Hen

SINGAPORE - Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen visited injured serviceman Jason Chee at his Shunfu Road home on Sunday and said he was "truly inspired" by the latter's "amazing" spirit.

Dr Ng, who is also an MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, was conducting house visits in the area with other MPs and grassroots members.

Mr Chee, who holds the Military Expert 2 rank in the Republic of Singapore Navy, lost both his legs and his left arm in a ship accident last December.

He was discharged from Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital last month, and will practise walking with prosthetic legs as part of his rehabilitation.
