Knocked down by bus, but woman manages to ring boss for help

SINGAPORE - Despite being knocked down by a bus, one woman managed to stay alert and even took out her phone to call for help.

According to Lianhe Wanbao, the 49-year-old woman was knocked down by bus service 300 at at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Way and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 on December 28.

After being hit, she fell under the bus and lay face-down on the road, with half her body in between the bus' tyres. She then took her phone out and called her boss for help.

Although she remained conscious, the woman was unable to move her legs and complained of pain in her ankles.

Bystanders told the Chinese daily that they saw the bus turning left and heard a woman's cries shortly after. The bus stopped immediately after that but nobody dared to move the woman as they were afraid of causing more injury.

The paper reported that the road was slippery and wet due to the rain earlier that night.

The woman's boss told Lianhe Wanbao that the woman lives in Woodlands, and that she had just left work when the accident happened.
