Life in Singapore summed up on Twitter with #5WordSingaporeStories

Singaporeans are flexing their creative muscles on Twitter, this time with a handle to sum up life in Singapore - tongue-in-cheek, of course - in five words.

#5wordSingaporeStories started trending on the micro-blogging platform on Monday (Aug 3) morning, with even Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin joining in the fun.

Netizens took turns to post light-hearted snippets such as "Sien! MRT break down again" and "Moving. Never Tell Kopitiam Aunty" .

Last month, a similar hashtag called #GrowingUpSingaporean prompted locals to share their fondest childhood memories.

Twitter also launched two emojis to commemorate the country's golden jubilee - users will see the national flag and SG50 icons when they tweet with the hashtags #Singapore and #SG50 respectively.
