SINGAPORE - A video of a catfight between two Indonesian maids has gone viral.
The incident happened last Sunday, and the video, which captured the two women screaming obscenities and shoving each other in front of Paya Lebar MRT station, was uploaded on citizen journalism website Stomp.
One of the maids gave her version of the story to Shin Min Daily News, after her employer, a 73-yearold retiree known only as Madam Wu, contacted the newspaper.
The domestic worker, known only as Bosi, claimed that the fight had broken out as the other woman, known only as Phoebe, had become jealous over her relationship with a Bangladeshi worker - who was not named.
Bosi told the evening daily: "I kept trying to tell her over Facebook that there was nothing between us, but she didn't believe me and continued to hurl insults online."
She also claimed that the other woman had photoshopped her photos onto semi-nude and sexilydressed bodies, and posted them on fake Facebook accounts, along with her mobile phone number.
"I kept mum at first but the last straw was when she put my face and my brother-in-law's on a couple's picture. They were locked in an intimate embrace."
Shin Min Daily News reported that it tried to contact both Phoebe and the Bangladeshi man, to no avail.
