GEORGE TOWN - The road bully, who repeatedly rammed his vehicle into another driver's car before throwing homemade firecrackers to frighten him, has been arrested in Alor Setar.

The 37-year-old man was picked up yesterday by a police team after he was tracked through his car plate number.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said the suspect, a father of two, has a previous record for three drug-related and two criminal offences, adding that a urine test later showed that he was high on methamphetamine.

On Monday, bank officer Ong Kok Kwang's Honda Civic was rear-ended several times by the suspect who was driving a Nissan Grand Livina.

The suspect then threw the firecrackers at Ong's car, blowing off the rear bumper.

Earlier, he trailed Ong from Farquhar Street to Love Lane. A tourist from China who was walking along Love Lane suffered minor injuries.

ACP Gan said the police forensic team was trying to determine the type of firecrackers used.

The suspect has been remanded for a week to facilitate investigations.
