Male citizens, PRs born from Sep to Dec 1998 to register for National Service

SINGAPORE - Male Singapore citizens and permanent residents born between Sep 1, 1998 and Dec 31, 1998 are required to register for National Service starting this month.

Registration will be conducted between Nov 11 and Dec 1, and can be made online or in person at the Central Manpower Base (CMPB).

Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday that any registrant may apply for postponement to report for enlistment in order to complete studies in Singapore.

If the application for postponement is successful, the registrant will receive a further notice from the proper authority as to when he is to report for enlistment, said Mindef.
