Man, 40s, found dead along Kranji Rd near foreign workers' dormitory

SINGAPORE - A body of a man was found along Kranji Road on Friday morning.

Police told AsiaOne that they received a call at about 7.08am, requesting for assistance along Kranji Road.

Upon police arrival, the body of a man in his 40s was found motionless at the location.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

According to The Straits Times, the body of the worker from India was found by other workers at a forested area near the dormitory at around 6.30am.

The report said that the deceased is believed to be Mr Yeacopjoseph, who had been working as a general worker with CHC Construction for about 6 months.

The supervisor, who declined to be named, told The Straits Times that Mr Yeacopjoseph had not reported for work on Thursday.

A relative, Mr K Kumar, 31, told The Straits Times that Mr Yeacopjoseph's wife had tried calling him on Thursday evening but he had not picked up. Other relatives in Singapore tried too, but to no avail.

Police are investigating the case as an "unnatural death".
