
SINGAPORE - Police will tender an amended charge of murder against a 50-year-old man tomorrow after his victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
The man was initially charged with the offence of voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means, said the police in a statement to the media.
On Jan 14, at 6.31pm, officers responded to a case of a person injured at Lorong 18 Geylang.
There, the police found the 35-year-old victim with head injuries. He was then conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The 50-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the case was charged in court on Jan 18 for the offence of voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
The victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Tue, Jan 21.
The suspect will appear in court again on Jan 23.
