Man allegedly kills older brother with stab to the neck in Choa Chu Kang

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly killing his brother last night (April 13) in a condominium in Choa Chu Kang.
According to Lianhe Wanbao, police found a 26-year-old Chinese man with multiple knife wounds lying in a pool of blood on a bed when they arrived on the scene. They have arrested the victim's brother for murder.
The incident happened in the Windermere condominium in Choa Chu Kang Street 64.
The 21-year-old is believed to have stabbed his brother in the chest and the back before landing a blow to his neck, which resulted in blood spurting from the wound, Shin Min Daily News reported.
The brothers were in an argument that spiraled out of control, and Shin Min said that their mother witnessed the attack. The Chinese daily said that the mother tried in vain to stop the blood from spraying from the neck wound.
Wanbao said that the father and eldest brother, 29, of the two men were not at home when the attack happened. Their mother and maid were home with them at the time.
Police said that they received a call for help at 11.01pm, and rushed to the scene within 15 minutes. Medical officers pronounced the 26-year-old victim dead at 11.16pm.
The victim was reportedly a designer, while the suspect had just graduated from Singapore Polytechnic.
