Man arrested for allegedly attacking woman in Bedok South

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for allegedly attacking a woman in the Bedok South area.

On Sept 25, at about 7am, police received a call about a woman who was injured in a residential unit at Bedok South Avenue 3.

It was established that the 48-year-old woman was believed to have been attacked by the man and was subsequently conveyed to hospital.

Officers from Bedok Division conducted extensive enquiries and arrested the man within 12 hours.

Any person convicted for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt with Dangerous Weapons may be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 15 years, and shall also be liable to fine or to caning.
