Man arrested for molesting woman near Caldecott MRT

SINGAPORE - A 33-year-old man who is believed to have molested a woman at Toa Payoh Rise has been arrested.

The suspect allegedly molested the 27-year-old victim shortly after she exited Caldecott MRT Station.

He was spotted by police near Caldecott MRT Station arrested at about 6.45pm on Wednesday. Two EZ-Link cards, believed to be fraudulently obtained, were found on him.

If found guilty for outrage of modesty, the suspect can be jailed up to two years, fined, caned, or any combination of the punishments. If convicted for fraudulent possession, he can be fined $3,000 or be jailed for up to a year, or both.
