SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 51-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a theft case.
According to the police, a man reported that six boxes of America Silver Eagles coins amounting to US$73,466 (S$105,000) were stolen at 25 Kakit Bukit Road 4 on Oct 1 at about 5pm.
He had earlier engaged a mover company to move his properties including the coins to a warehouse on Sep 19.
After conducting investigations, the police arrested the suspect on the same day. Coins amounting to more than US$73,000 were also recovered.
If convicted, the suspect faces a maximum jail term of seven years and a fine.
