McDonald's found no evidence of pests on premises linked to worms claim

SINGAPORE - McDonald's Singapore is awaiting laboratory analysis results of a sample sent in by a customer who had made a complaint through the fast food chain's online feedback form.

Earlier this week, IT freelancer Jasper Lee sent a video to The Straits Times where white worms were supposedly seen crawling on top of the sausage patty. Mr Lee believes the worms originated from the scrambled eggs.

Ms Patricia Yong, McDonald's Singapore's director of operations told AsiaOne: "We also engaged two independent pest control agencies to inspect the restaurant and they have found no evidence of pests on the premises. This inspection is on top of our regular monthly external pest control maintenance and checks."

She added that McDonald's suppliers have also conducted their own investigations using external pest control agencies and have found no evidence of pests on their premises.
