Minister Khaw Boon Wan to visit China for Singapore-Tianjin meeting

SINGAPORE - Minister for National Development Mr Khaw Boon Wan, and Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development Mr Lee Yi Shyan, will visit the People's Republic of China July 29 to 31 for the 7th Singapore-Tianjin Economic & Trade Council (STETC) Meeting.

The STETC was established in 2007 to promote broader exchanges and cooperation between the business communities of Singapore and Tianjin.

Minister Khaw and Tianjin Mayor Mr Huang Xingguo will co-chair the 7th STETC Meeting to review the STETC's accomplishments in the past year and set directions for new collaborations in the coming year.

During the visit, Minister Khaw will also renew ties and meet with Tianjin Party Secretary Ms Sun Chunlan. Minister Khaw and SMS Lee will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of National Development, Ministry of Trade and Industry and International Enterprise Singapore.
