MOM revokes accreditation of 5 training providers over malpractices

SINGAPORE - Five training providers have been stripped of their Accredited Training Provider (ATP) status after being found guilty of training and assessment malpractices by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

The companies are: Work Safe Academy Pte Ltd, Propel Consultants Pte Ltd, Regent Global Consultants Pte Ltd, Bright Training Centre Pte Ltd, and Ark HSE Management Solutions Pte Ltd.

The MOM said in a statement today that they failed to conduct courses according to stipulated course durations, ensure trainees' language proficiency for the courses and uphold the integrity of examination procedures.

It had acted on information received from the public and its own regular audits.

The five training providers will no longer be allowed to conduct MOM-accredited courses. Their directors will also not be allowed to apply as an ATP Director, Principal and or Trainer with the MOM for two years.

The ATP scheme accredits training providers to conduct Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) courses on behalf of the MOM.

The MOM said it takes a strong stance on the integrity of ATPs, and that investigations will be stepped up and appropriate actions will be taken against errant ATPs.

Since 2010, the ATP status of 11 training providers have been cancelled for similar violations.
