More places to pay tribute to Lee Kuan Yew in 25 public libraries
SINGAPORE - Literature about the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew will be displayed at tribute booths across 25 public libraries - the latest sites to join the growing list of public tribute venues in Singapore.
A special exhibition on the key milestones of the late elder statesman's public life and his inspiring and thought-provoking quotes will be held at the lobby of the National Library Building for the public from March 25 to April 22.
The Lee Kong Chian Reference Library at the National Library Building will also showcase a special book gallery featuring a curated collection of books, publications and a multimedia display of archival photos, newspaper articles, recordings and transcripts of Mr Lee Kuan Yew's speeches.
The libraries will be open from 10.00am to 9.00pm, except for those located in the shopping malls which will be open from 11.00am to 9.00pm
Besides the tribute booths at the 25 public libraries, there are 20 other condolence sites at the Istana, Parliament House, and 18 community areas around Singapore.
