Education Minister Heng Swee Keat said that the Singapore Institute of Technology which currently offers niche degrees from overseas universities will run its own programmes from next year in infrastructure engineering, software development and accountancy. It will take in about 200 students into these three courses.
Mr Heng said the courses offered by UniSIM and SIT will integrate classroom learning with real life applications on the job.
