Motorcycle hits fire engine battling car blaze along Braddell Rd

SINGAPORE - It was a double whammy when a fire engine battling a car fire along Braddell Road after Bishan Flyover was hit by a motorcycle.

According to the Straits Times, the fire engine was parked along the road when the rear-end collision occurred.

The 61-year-old motorcyclist was conscious, and was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital with slight injuries, the police said.

Citizen journalism website Stomp said that the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the car blaze at 7.40am.

One fire engine, one Red Rhino, two fire bikes and one ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

The two persons injured in the car fire refused to be conveyed to the hospital, SCDF added.
