Mum and brother strangle HIV patient

INDIA - Police in Tirunelveli, India, have arrested a woman and her son for strangling her other son, an HIV/AIDS patient, reported Malaysia Nanban.

The victim, Isaac Robin, 34, from Panakudi, had been working as a supervisor at construction sites when he fell sick last year and was confirmed to be suffering from the disease.

Since then, he had been staying with his mother and brother, which caused their relatives to start distancing themselves.

On Aug 5, the mother had lodged a complaint with the police claiming that her son had died after vomitting blood.

However, a post-mortem report revealed that the man had actually been strangled violently, breaking his neck bone and windpipe.

Authorities said both the mother and son confessed to their crime after being picked up on Sunday.
