MyPaper gets new look

SINGAPORE - MyPaper, Singapore's first and only bilingual newspaper, will have an updated look tomorrow - a cleaner, more upmarket product that caters to young professionals, managers and executives.

The new look for MyPaper, published by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), coincides with recent changes in the paper's editorial leadership. Rahul Pathak, who was the Executive Editor of The Business Times, has been appointed Editor of MyPaper.

Rahul is supported by News Editor Terrence Voon and two Assistant News Editors, Jessica Lim and Tessa Wong. All three were from The Straits Times (ST). Terrence was most recently an Assistant News Editor at ST's Newsdesk, and was previously the Sports correspondent for the paper, covering major events such as the World Cup and the Olympic Games.

Jessica and Tessa were also well-known journalists at ST. Jessica was the paper's Consumer correspondent, while Tessa has been covering political news since 2010.

Readers of MyPaper can look forward to some pleasant surprises. Apart from the News pages focusing on the biggest stories each day, there will be distinct Business and Sports sections for greater ease of reading, as well as an Opinion section featuring commentaries on issues that Singaporeans are grappling with.

MyPaper will also treat its readers to the most thought-provoking content by experts on issues such as transportation and property. It will select and feature the best articles from SPH's other newspapers, including The Straits Times, The Business Times, The New Paper, Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News.

Editor Rahul Pathak said: "We will give our readers news that is relevant to their lives and stories that surprise them or bring a smile to their faces. They will also get to read contributions from the finest commentators in SPH's vast stable of newspapers. Not many publications can match that."
