N-level results out on Thursday

SINGAPORE - Students who took the N-level exams - for the Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) streams - can get their results from 2pm on Thursday.

Those interested in applying for Institute of Technical Education (ITE) courses can obtain application forms from their schools at the same time.

Normal (Academic) students who have performed well may be eligible for two programmes that will prepare them for direct entry into a polytechnic without having to take O-level exams.

The Polytechnic Foundation Programme, which is open to Normal (Academic) students with an aggregate score of not more than 11 points, involves taking a year-long course that can give students entry to a polytechnic.

Applications for this start on the day O-level exam results are released next month.

Students interested in applying should progress to Secondary 5 first while waiting for the posting outcome.

Normal (Academic) students with an aggregate score of not more than 19 points can apply for the Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic programme.

This involves a Higher Nitec curriculum at the ITE that can allow students to go straight to the first or second year of a related course in a polytechnic if they achieve the required grades.

Eligible students can submit their application via www.ite.edu.sg/wps/portal/intake from this Thursday to next Monday, between 2 and 5pm.

Students will be notified of their application outcome on Thursday next week at 9am.

Private candidates will be notified of their individual N-level results by post.They can also obtain their results from www.seab.gov.sg this Thursday, from 2pm onwards.
