SINGAPORE - The naked body of a man was found in a field along Punggol East Road on Wednesday evening at about 7pm.
According to the Shin Min Daily News, the deceased was a 76-year-old Malay man. Distraught family members were at the scene last night when police arrived, the Chinese daily reported.
The victim's nephew told the paper that the man's belongings were missing, and it was suspected that he had been robbed.
Shin Min added that the victim had been missing for two days.
Residents nearby who passed by the scene on Thursday reported seeing a large deployment of police forces at the forested area, according to citizen journalism site, Stomp.
Police have classified the case as an 'unnatural death' and investigations are ongoing.
