SINGAPORE - The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications Diploma in Fashion Technology (Footwear Design & Product Development) programme is jointly developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency(WDA), the Textile and Fashion Industry Training Centre (TaF.tc) and Ars Sutoria.
The three-month programme, which will start its 2014 intake in February, was unveiled yesterday by the WDA and aims to grow the pool of local footwear professionals.
The programme costs S$19,300, but Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible for a 70 per cent WDA subsidy, so they pay S$5,430.
According to Ms Sandra Tan, 38, the Sales and Marketing Manager of the TaF.tc, the programme targets an intake of 12 to 16 full-time students. Requirements for entry are a minimum of three GCE O-level passes including English and Maths, or Workplace Literacy & Numeracy 5.
