Telcos M1, SingTel and StarHub issued the following joint statement:

M1, SingTel and StarHub have successfully worked with many building owners to deploy in-building systems that can deliver a good mobile experience, meet IDA’s quality of service requirements as well as our own operational needs, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

However, we will also consider alternative options that can assure us of the same results at reasonable costs and terms.

The deployment of mobile networks is a challenging process, especially if there are terms and conditions imposed by building owners which may create delays in implementation.

We recognise that the Sports Hub is an important development and are fully supportive in making mobile services available to the public at the facility.

Sports Hub was approached in late 2012, while negotiations with Consistel started mid-2013. To date, no commercial agreement has been reached with Consistel, and we strive to settle this amicably.
