NTUC sponsors grocery trip

To commemorate its 41st anniversary, NTUC FairPrice sponsored a grocery-shopping trip at FairPrice Finest in Bukit Timah Plaza for 41 beneficiaries of various charity organisations and voluntary welfare groups yesterday.

These beneficiaries, guided by management and volunteers, also used the new SCAN2GO technology, which allows buyers to track and tally purchases as they shop. This system includes promotions and discounts, so shoppers can just hand over the scanner to a cashier at a specific counter.

Mr Seah Kian Peng, NTUC FairPrice's chief executive officer, said: "...we wanted to take this opportunity to also share useful tips on how to stretch their dollar while grocery shopping and get the best deals available."
