Over 1,500 turn up for glow-in-the-dark KeepFit! event

Over 1,500 participants turned up for a special U Sports event held at the Formula 1 Pit on Saturday night, where they worked up a glowing sweat in a two-hour long exercise session.

Light sticks and glow-in-the-dark face and body paint on each participant added special light effects to the KeepFit! workout session, where they worked out in back-to-back sessions of Zumba and Sh'bam.

Zumba uses Latin-infused music with choreography based on samba, salsa and even martial arts moves, while Sh'bam is set to popular chart-topping music and features simple and fun choreography.

After the two-hour workout session, the night continued on with a party where a DJ belted out hits.

"I think the event is very happening, there are a lot of people and the energy is high.

Everybody is really excited and it's a lot of fun. It's my first time doing this, and I love it!" said Mr Charles Tan, 34, who took part in KeepFit! 2014 together with his girlfriend, Ms Joreis Ong.

KeepFit!, which is into its second year, is organised by NTUC Club.
