Pay your bills via AXS with phone app or on the Net

SINGAPORE - Paying your credit card or utilities bills will soon be easier with the launch of two new payment methods put in place by electronic solutions payment provider AXS.

Instead of having to go to self-service AXS stations, those who wish to pay bills or fines can do so via a mobile app or the Internet from Tuesday.

The mobile app is called AXS m-Station, while its online counterpart is known as the AXS e-Station.

The app can be used on both Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, and can be downloaded for free at the iTunes Store and Google Play.

This will enable people to pay their bills with over 80 billing organisations or check their payment history on smartphones or tablets. Besides bill and payment services, users will also be able to use these platforms to top up their telco prepaid cards by March next year.

Since its soft launch last month, there have been more than 100,000 downloads of the AXS m-Station app. This makes it one of the top 10 most downloaded free apps on the App Store and Google Play.

Payment can be made through eNETS debit on the app and online for customers with DBS bank, POSB, OCBC bank, UOB or Citibank bank accounts.

All services provided are free, except for condo/building payments, which incur an administrative fee of $1.

Mobile users can store billing information and transaction history on their devices for up to three months.

To make future payments faster, they can select organisations frequenly transacted with as "favourites".
