Police arrest 18-year-old snatch thief

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested an 18-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of snatch theft along Alexandra Road.
The victim, a 60-year-old woman, made a police report after her handbag was snatched away by an unknown man while she was crossing an overhead bridge last Saturday at about 10.15pm.
The suspect was arrested on Monday.
He will be charged in court tomorrow for snatch theft. If found guilty, the suspect may be jailed for up to seven years and caned.
