Police arrest serial housebreaker at Dover

SINGAPORE - A 25-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a series of housebreaking and theft at Rasok Dr, Sunset View and Holland Grove Dr.

The police said in a statement today (June 17) that three cases of break-ins were reported between June 14 to 16 at the aforementioned locations. Cash, laptop, camera, mobile phone, bicycle and tablets amounting to more than $13,000 were found missing from the units.

The identity of the suspect was later established and he was arrested on June 16 at about 2.15 pm along Dover Road. Mobile phones, tablets and a bicycle were seized as case exhibits.

The suspect will be charged in Court on June 18 for the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 14 years.
