Reunion for PAP's Aljunied GRC team

SINGAPORE - They may have all gone their separate ways and are no longer colleagues, but the former PAP team from Aljunied GRC came together again on Friday for a meal.

A picture of their reunion was posted by Mr George Yeo on his Facebook page on Friday, with the caption: "Overfed at Violet Oon's Kitchen."

After the PAP team's historic loss in the 2001 General Election of a Group Representation Counstituency to its opposition challengers led by Worker's Party leader Low Thia Khiang, its leadership soon left the political scene.

All five members of the team - Mr George Yeo, Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Mr Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Madam Cynthia Phua and Mr Ong Ye Kung have also joined the private sector.

The photo attracted a few hundred likes and comments from some, such as Mr Adam Hudzaifah Al-Yaman who said: "So nice to see all of you together in one picture again!"
