SINGAPORE - A bushfire near Punggol Jetty was spotted at around 5.45pm Saturday, Mar 1, 2014.
Stomp contributor Patricia saw the bushfire at a road near Punggol Jetty.
Patricia said the road was closed due to the blaze.
SCDF and police personnel were also on the scene.

Dry weather likely cause of bush fires in Punggol and Jurong East

Mr Tan Xingwen, a resident who lives along Punggol 17th Avenue, said he and his family had been driving out for dinner at about 5.45pm when they found themselves caught in a jam on Punggol Road. The 29-year-old accountant said: "We saw a big brush fire that occurred beside the road, and saw smoke all over the place. The wind was strong, and causing the fire to spread." It was half an hour before they managed to get out of the jam, he added. "But even then, the firefighters were still doing their work."
