SINGAPORE - For the third year running, Resorts World Sentosa has clinched the title of Best Integrated Resort at the Annual TTG Travel Awards - and it is celebrating this with visitors.
From today until Nov 15, enjoy special Buy 3 Get 1 offers across the Resort's myriad offerings including tickets to Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark and Lightseeker; packages with ESPA at RWS and RWS Invites; and dining at selected restaurants.
More celebratory packages will be launched progressively from Nov 15 until Mar 31 next year.
RWS' win comes just after the resort launched its latest attraction, the Dolphin Island at the Adventure Cove Waterpark this month.
The awards ceremony, in its 24th year, was held in Bangkok yesterday, and recognises the best of Asia Pacific's travel industry.
Mr Roger Lienhard, Senior Vice President of Attractions and Resort Sales at Resorts World Sentosa said the third-time win is a feather in the cap.
He said: "Resorts World Sentosa opened in 2010, and we haven't looked back since. A trailblazing model that changed the face of tourism in Singapore and the region, competitors are now copying our model. While no one has quite replicated what we did here, we still have to stay ahead."
"We are placing greater emphasis towards marketing the Resort as a destination where visitors can spend an excitement-packed and fun-filled vacation over four full days, in a destination offering both a Universal Studios theme park as well as the world's largest aquarium."
Mr Lienhard added, "Votes for this award were cast by the travel trade industry, which makes the award even more meaningful for the 13,000 RWS team members who have collectively delivered unforgettable experiences for our guests. Three is an auspicious number for the Cantonese, and because all good things come in threes, we would like to celebrate this win with our guests, our travel partners and our team members."
Other activities at the resort include Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore, the premiere of the musical Lightseeker in November that features songs by songwriter Dick Lee, and a Christmas celebration in December.
Meanwhile, Mandarin Orchard Singapore was conferred the Best City Hotel - Singapore, for its 1,065 guestrooms and suites, dining options, and business and leisure facilities that include luxury shopping destination Mandarin Gallery.
Mr Danny Wong, Hotel Manager of Mandarin Orchard Singapore remarked, "Not only is it such an honour to receive this distinction to the Meritus brand, but it is also a testament to Singapore as a leading world-class travel destination in Asia."
The third winner was Royal Plaza on Scotts (RP) which was awarded, for the seventh time in a row, the Best Independent Hotel title.
"We are very honoured to be receiving this award once again," said Mr Patrick Fiat, General Manager of RP. "This is a great reaffirmation of our efforts to constantly make improvements and raise the bar for service standards," he added.
Sharing the most important ingredient in the winning formula for clinching this award of excellence for the seventh consecutive year, Mr Fiat said, "Our people are our key to success. At RP, we live by our belief that happy employees make happy guests as they are at the forefront creating engagement and delivering extraordinary moments to our guests.
"We will continue to build on the organisation's culture to establish a stronger emotional connection with our employees as these accomplishments can be only achieved with their support," he added.
