SAF to conduct military exercises from April 14 to 21

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will be conducting military and live firing exercises from April 14 to 21.

SAF's military exercises will be conducted in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, Mandai from 8am on Mon, April 14 to 8am on Mon, April 21.

Blanks and thunderflashes will be used.

It will also conduct Live Firing Exercises in Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live Firing Area during the same period.

Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits while the live firing exercises are being conducted are to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the Live Firing Boundary.

Live ammunition and flares will be used.

Meanwhile, the islands of Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang and Pulau Pawai are proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds. The public is advised to keep clear of these islands. The public is also advised to stay clear of the prohibited waters off Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base.

The RSAF will be conducting Live Firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang from April 14 to 18 daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm, April 19 (Saturday) 8am until 4am on April 20, and April 20 from 8am until 12 noon.

Flares will be released during the night firing.

The public is advised to keep clear of Pulau Pawai, Pulau Senang and Pulau Sudong which lie within the Live Firing Areas.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will also continue conducting military exercises which began on April 4 and will end on April 18. There will be increased flying activities during this period and loud noises will be experienced as the aircraft transits to its training areas. The public is advised not to be alarmed.
