SAF, RSAF to conduct military, live firing exercises from Jan 27 to Feb 3

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will be conducting military exercises and live firing exercises from 8am on Jan 27 to 8am on Feb 3.

The military exercises will be taking place in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang and Mandai.

The live firing exercises will be conducted in Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live Firing Area, as well as around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang

Blanks, live ammunition, flares and thunderflashes will be used. Flares will be released during the night firing. The public is advised not to be alarmed.

Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits during this period are to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the Live Firing Boundary.

The islands of Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang and Pulau Pawai are proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds. Members of the public are advised to keep clear of these islands and the areas listed above.

The public is also advised to stay clear of the prohibited waters off Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base.
