Same girl, different men

SINGAPORE - Ramos Lobaton Alan, 26, was the second of five men facing charges of having underage sex with the 15-year-old girl.

Last week, Malaysian Jared Chan Yee Mun, 32, who had sex with the secondary school student while on transit here, was jailed for a year.

Chan, a restaurant owner who lives in Australia, met the girl on a social networking application.

After their conversations assumed a sexual undertone, he suggested they meet for sex when he was on transit here on Oct 5, 2012. They met that evening and had sex at Changi Village Hotel.

A third man, former advertising director Kwek Chuan Shan, 35, also pleaded guilty last week to two of seven charges of sexual penetration of the same minor. He will be sentenced on Jan 21.

Kwek openly stated that he engaged in "bondage and discipline dominance and submission, sadism and masochism" and that he was looking for a "submissive" on his dating profile.

The girl initiated contact with him. She also told him her age.

In November 2012, she went to his Redhill Close home, where she allowed him to perform bizarre sexual acts and take photographs of her with the assurance that he would not circulate them. They then had protected sex.

The other two accused are Ngo Choon Seng, 28, and Chee Wei Tong, 24, who have not been dealt with.

The maximum punishment for sex with a minor is 10 years in jail and a fine on each charge.
