Singapore condemns Charlie Hebdo shooting: MFA

SINGAPORE - Singapore strongly condemns the heinous attack on the offices of French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in a statement today.

MFA expressed condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of France, saying that the incident was a painful reminder that all countries face a common threat from terrorism.

12 people, including journalists, cartoonists and policemen, were killed in the most deadly militant attack on French soil in decades.

"We support the French Government's efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice," an MFA spokesman added.
