Up-skirt act on bus foiled by member of public

SINGAPORE - A 25-year-old Chinese man has been arrested after being caught red-handed taking an up-skirt photo of a female victim.

The incident took place on board a SMRT bus travelling along Clementi Ave 5 on Aug 31 at about 4.50pm.

He was caught in the act of placing his mobile phone under the skirt of the unsuspecting victim by Mr Sivagumar S/O Subramaniam, an undergraduate, who promptly confronted the suspect when he alighted.

The suspect was subsequently handed over to the police.

If convicted, the suspect may be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or both.
