SINGAPORE - Slightly hazy weather may be expected in Singapore on Sunday (Aug 23).
According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), the 24-hr PSI for the next 24 hours is expected to be in the moderate range.
Slightly hazy conditions continued to affect Singapore on Saturday as the winds blew in some haze from Sumatra. There were showers over some parts of the island in the late morning and early afternoon. As at 7pm on Saturday, the 24-hr PSI was 75-86, which is in the moderate range.
The health impact of haze is dependent on one's health status, the PSI level, and the length and intensity of outdoor activity.
NEA has advised the public to reduce outdoor activities and physical exertion to limit the ill effects from haze exposure. Those who are not feeling well, especially the elderly and children, and those with chronic heart or lung conditions, should seek medical attention.
However, NEA has said that all can still continue with normal activities.
