SINGAPORE - Some government e-services on the SingPass website will be unavailable during the weekend of Jun 6 and 7 due to scheduled maintenance as part of enhancements being made to the site.
The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore announced on its Facebook page on Thursday morning that users will not be able to access some of the e-services from 10pm on Jun 6 to 10am the following day.
Users will be able to access all e-services from 11.59pm on Jul 2 to 10am on Jul 4, but the SingPass site will be temporarily unavailable again from 10pm on Jul 4 to 10am the next day. During this period, all government e-services cannot be accessed.
The new revamped SingPass site promises an improved user interface, mobile-friendly features and stronger security capabilities. This includes a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), which will be introduced to protect sensitive data.
According to the SingPass website, this could be a "one-time "second factor" password delivered through Short Messaging Service (SMS) or OneKey token".
