SINGAPORE - Senior officials of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore received updates on Indonesia's efforts to address the fires that caused the haze at the first trilateral meeting on transboundary haze on Friday.
Future areas for cooperation were also considered.
Singapore and Malaysia acknowledged Indonesia's ongoing efforts to combat the haze, including the mobilisation of national resources to tackle the issue.
Officials also agreed to provide further updates on their discussions to their foreign ministers at the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' retreat in Hua Hin, Thailand, in August before the ministers report to their leaders at the ASEAN Summit in October.
