Tanjong Pagar train station to open on Chinese New Year

SINGAPORE - The iconic Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (TPRS) will be open to the public this Chinese New Year, the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 3).

The station will open its doors from 9am to 6pm on Tuesday, Feb 9.

Members of the public will be able to visit the historic site and take photos or sketch their impressions of the national monument.

SLA also encouraged the public to deposit their artwork at the station's former ticketing counter, as they may be displayed at future station openings.

The Tanjong Pagar Railway Station was first opened to the public on public holidays during Chinese New Year last year.
