Temporary interchange for Woodlands during facelift

Temporary interchange for Woodlands during facelift

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will refurbish the Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange and build an underpass linking it with the North-South Line's Woodlands MRT station and the future Thomson-East Coast Line's Woodlands station.

When the underpass is completed in 2019, commuters will be able to transfer between the rail and bus networks quickly. The bus interchange will also have more facilities for commuters and barrier-free features.

To make way for the construction of the new underpass, the bus interchange will be relocated from March 12 to an adjacent site along Woodlands Square, said a statement from LTA today.

Sheltered linkways will connect the temporary interchange with the MRT station and Causeway Point shopping centre. Bus stops along the existing routes of 26 public bus services and two Peak Period Short Services operating from the interchange will remained unchanged.
