SINGAPORE - A train fault led to a delay of about 25 minutes for commuters on the East-West Line during the morning rush hour today (Jan 28).
Rail operator SMRT first tweeted about a delay of about 15 minutes between Outram Park and Jurong East stations in the direction towards Joo Koon, at about 8am.
The additional travelling time was subsequently revised to 25 minutes between Aljunied and Jurong East stations in the direction towards Joo Koon.
At 8.36am, SMRT tweeted that the train service between these two stations had resumed, but a delay in travelling time was still expected as crowds were being cleared.
