Trio arrested for impersonating as policemen

KUALA LUMPUR - Police arrested three men for impersonating as police officers near Ampang, yesterday.
In the 12.15pm incident, a team from Ampang police station spotted suspicious men aged between 21 and 38 in a grey Proton Saga, and asked them to pull over.
A police source said one of the man was wearing a police vest and introduced himself as an officer from the Dang Wangi police station.
However, the suspect failed to produce an authority card when asked, he said.
Upon inspection, police found a handcuff and a 23 centimetre pocket knife on the driver.
The case is being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for robbery.
