Tupperware Brands sets up Global Design Center in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Tupperware Brands has opened its Global Design Center for Asia in Singapore on Feb 20. It is the first outside of the US and Europe, and aims to deliver culturally distinct products for the Asian market.

Known for their ingenious design, quality construction and lifetime warranty, Tupperware products are now found in over 80 markets around the world. The company has won a total of 39 Red Dot Awards to date.

Asha Gupta, Tupperware Brands Group President of Asia Pacific said: "With 25 per cent of sales coming from new products every year, design and innovation are at the core of our business. Our continued success stems from our ability to deliver products that serve evolving lifestyle needs."

Jan-Hendrik de Groote, Tupperware Brands Vice President of Global Design Worldwide also said: "Design is something we have honed to a fine art at Tupperware. This new centre brings our designers closer to Asia, and provides us with the creative platform to better serve our customers in the region."

Tupperware Brands Asia Pacific's 2013 full year segment sales was 31 per cent of the company's overall business.

Indonesia is the largest houseware unit in Asia Pacific, ranking number one in revenue globally. It generated more than $200 million sales in 2013.
