Unemployed man who stabbed elder brother jailed 6 months

An unemployed man, who threatened his father and stabbed his elder brother after he intervened, was yesterday jailed for six months. Daniel Lim Wei Qiang, 25, was convicted of voluntarily causing hurt to his brother.

On Feb 16, Daniel Lim Wei Qiang's brother and father were at a temple on Paya Lebar Road preparing for prayer rituals. Lim drove to the temple and shouted at the father saying that he wanted to stab him. Lim's brother warn that he would call the police if Lim persisted in making trouble. This agitated Lim, who then took out a knife and stabbed his brother in the back as he was walking away.
