SINGAPORE - NTUC FairPrice customers can now pay for purchases in a fast and simple way through a contactless payment technology at all 116 outlets.
The company said on Thursday it has finished installing the technology - Visa payWave terminals - at the end of last month.
With Visa payWave, the card doesn't need to be swiped by a sales assistant and no signature or Pin (personal identification number) is needed for purchases under $100.
Visa payWave is accepted at a growing number of dining spots, entertainment venues and retailers across Singapore.
