Watch out for the super duper youth

Parkour practitioner Muhd Zaki Zakwan (above), 20, does a back flip off a platform at the press launch of the Singapore Street Festival 2014 at Bugis Junction yesterday evening.

Parkour, a fast-moving discipline that involves leaping, vaulting and hurdling, will be one of 11 acts that will take centre stage at the month-long festival.

Themed Super Duper Youth, the festival, now in its 13th year, will run from June 12 to July 6.

Other highlights at the street fest include bellydancing, breakdancing, magic and yoyo performances, workshops and competitions at various venues such as Bugis Junction, Bugis+ and Far East Plaza.
