SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam folding a paper crane with the help of Madam Goh Siok Hong, 70, to the delight of guests and visitors at the Thye Hua Kwan Seniors Activity Centre at Bukit Timah View on Saturday.

He was visiting the centre as part of the President's Challenge 2013 Volunteer Drive, an annual event that promotes helping as a way of life.

Besides interacting with the seniors, President Tan presented certificates to a group of volunteers trained with the skills to meet the needs of welfare organisations, such as the safe handling of the elderly, conversational dialects, and befriending.
